A mere 35 minutes from Metro at Exit 7, Avon Valley Golf & Country Club is now even easier to get to with the extension to the twinning of Hwy 101.
Although very challenging, the course is still very player friendly. One of the best groomed courses in the province, the tees and greens are hand mowed to give the golfer the ultimate in playing conditions. The greens are also rolled to give the players a consistently smooth surface, just like the pros play on. Trees 'in play' on the grounds have been trimmed to shoulder height, making it easy for players to find stray shots, and throughout the grounds players will encounter flower gardens and decorative shrubbery adding to the natural beauty of the Club's setting, There are also rain shelters and washrooms, and a refreshment cart when weather permits- speaking of which, you'll enjoy a longer playing season under pleasant conditions thanks to the Club's 'valley weather'.
Our 600 + members can book up to 5 days in advance for regular play, and can participate in lots of fun events like weekly Men's Night, Ladies' Night and Thursday Seniors competitions as well as a full range of recreational and competitive Club tournaments. Men 50 or more 'seasoned' can also join the Annapolis Valley Seniors Men's Golf Association which sponsors recreational tournaments at the ten member courses from Avon Valley to Clare. You'll also enjoy full Golf Canada and NSGA membership which gives you eligibility to enter tournaments at other courses. And for the younger set, there's an excellent Junior Development program with professional instruction which takes advantage of our well-designed on-site practice area- which members can book as well.
For those players who like to ride, there is a fleet of fifty cars, all in top shape and available at attractive rates. Tee times are booked ten minutes apart, spacing out the players and enhancing the speed of play, and the course is also marshaled during peak periods to help keep things moving.
And before or after your round or practice, take time to check out the well-stocked Pro Shop, Stay awhile, enjoy a snack or beverage in our recently-redecorated dining room- or out on the deck deck of our modern Clubhouse: if you have to, you can even enjoy the day as you catch up while tapping into our free wi-fi.
Green-fee players can book three days in advance and are always welcome, you'll find various rates and package offers on our Green Fees page and occasional rate specials listed in the Pro Shop Notices on the homepage.
