A mere 35 minutes from Metro, Avon Valley Golf & Country Club is both almost in the Valley and almost at your doorstep.

Although very challenging, the course is still very player friendly. Always among the best groomed in the province, our tees and greens are hand-mown and rolled to give the players a top quality and consistently smooth surface, just like the pros play on. Trees ‘in play’ on the grounds have been trimmed to shoulder height making it easier for players to find stray shots- and throughout the grounds players will encounter flower gardens and decorative shrubbery enhancing the natural beauty of the Club’s setting, There are also on-grounds rain shelters and washrooms, and a refreshment cart when weather permits- speaking of which, you’ll experience a longer playing season with consistently pleasant and playable conditions thanks to the Club’s ‘valley weather’.

Our members can book up to 5 days in advance for regular play and can participate in lots of fun events like weekly Men’s Night, Ladies’ Night and Thursday Seniors competitions as well as a full range of recreational and competitive Club tournaments. Men 50 or more seasoned can also join the Annapolis Valley Senior Men’s Golf Association which sponsors recreational tournaments at ten participating courses from Avon Valley to Clare. You’ll also enjoy full Golf Canada and NSGA membership, which together give you eligibility to enter tournaments at most courses in Canada. And for the younger set, there’s an excellent Junior Development program led by professional instructors on our well-designed on-site practice area (which of course members can freely book as well).

Green-fee players are always welcome and can book up to three days in advance (for example anytime Thursday for available times up to & including Sunday.)  You’ll find our standard rates and offers on our Green Fees page, and frequent rate specials will show both on that page and/ or in the news posts.  If you’re interested in booking a group or tournament, we offer a full range of services including meals, prizes, games set-up (longest drive, closest to hole, closest to line etc)- in other words, full logistical support and all at attractive rates: call our mananger Brad Corkum at 902-798-4405 or the Pro Shop at 902-798-2673 for more information.

For those who like to ride, we offer a full fleet of power cars, all in top shape and available at very attractive rates- (discounted even further if you’re a member.)  Starting times are spaced to enhance the speed of play, and the course is also marshaled during peak periods to help keep things moving.

Don’t forget to take time to check out the well-stocked Pro Shop before or after your round. Plan to stay awhile and enjoy a meal, snack or beverage in our bright and comfortable dining room, or enjoy the views from the deck. And if you either want to or have to, you can continue enjoying the day as you tap into our wi-fi.
